Melbourne Explorer visited Paper Plate for their grand opening. Situated on Richmond’s popular Bridge Road, Paper Plate is bringing a Vietnamese flare to an increasingly diverse foodie hub.
An asian inspired cocktail list greets you for dinner. My recommendation is the Mekhong Sour with whisky, citrus, egg whites and cinnamon, or their famous espresso martini with condensed milk and Vietnamese coffee.
To start was the caramelised chicken wings, vietnamese crispy pancake, with pork and prawn, and the imperial spring rolls with prawn and pork wrapped in baby oak, fresh herbs, green papaya and pickled carrot with Nuoc Cham.
If that wasn’t enough, we finished with the caramelised pork belly clay pot with soft boiled egg, green mustard pickle, spring onion and garlic oil.
Well worth and visit and we will definitely be back.
